The prospect of a temporary groundshare has been raised. Where would be the preferable share? I suspect Banbury, Maidenhead and Oxford City won't be up to EFL standards (we may be Championship by then) so we'd probably need a league club.

Reading? Wycombe? MK Dons? Northampton? Watford?

Wycombe is closest I think, and the majority of the trip is motorway for most people too, so makes the most sense from that perspective. Parking is shit there though. In reality it'll probably come down to which of those charges the least.

Where has the prospect of this been raised? It doesn’t feel unlikely but is there a reason why this come up today?

MK would be my choice btw.

On the shortlived stadium reveal page earlier, it had this paragraph:

The club is now in a race against time to open a new stadium by the summer of 2026. If we can’t open by the start of the 2026 season, we will be homeless. Playing out of the county is something none of us want, even for a short while and we can’t contemplate a long-term move away, as it would mean a loss of our name, identity, and heritage.

JonnyBiscuits ah ok. Well, planning ahead is what we do now so I trust they will get it right.

Mad though that they put the same person in charge of the stadium reveal who ran the warehouse that stored the new shirts.

I guess people would travel, but I think attendances would plummet.

I go to all home games and 2/3rds of away games, but I don’t think I’d want to watch Oxford home matches away from the city, particularly when the option to watch the matches at home exists.
