EDIT: Now confirmed and it sounds like he could be straight into the squad for tomorrow.

Delighted he's back. I'm a really big fan - I appreciate it's probably a 'needs must' situation for us more than anything else given the injuries and illnesses, but I reckon he can justify his inclusion. Hope he does enough to warrant sticking around until the end of the season or get a gig elsewhere in January.

Experienced left back Joe Bennett signs a short term deal which runs to the end of January. Some extra cover for that position whilst Leigh is out injured.

Yeah, anybody who’s a free agent at this point of the season is gonna be carrying a bunch of caveats. I guess the question is whether he sees this as an opportunity to carry on playing for a season or two or if he’s just after one last pay day.

He’s been excellent when on the pitch, but he’s rarely on it.

LeftSider freeing up a loan spot would be useful for sure, unless the prognosis isn’t too bad.

I’ve also been wondering if Aidan Elliot-Wheeler is ready for some first team action?

I don’t know enough about him to know if he’s ready, but a promotion charge (hopefully) feels like an awful lot to put on a young man’s shoulders.

LeftSider I’ve heard great things from Banbury supporters but L1 is another level, I agree. But maybe as an impact sub? He’s not much younger than Beadle.

Yeah, you wouldn’t want to have to rely on a young’un in high stakes games, but I do reckon a promotion charge is a great time to bring a young lad into the fold. A chance to get a first taste of the senior game while the team is playing well and there are Positive Vibz around the joint.

Edwards will stay. But I think another winger is now pretty important.

I wouldn’t mind just a solid, durable option coming in like an Anthony Forde or a Ryan Williams rather than a fancy luxury player.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sonny Perkins going back to Leeds in January. He didn’t even make the bench last night, and the justification from Des seemed a bit spurious (only seven on the bench, and if they were going to take GO’D off, it would have been for Hughes).
