brinyhoof nope, end of March at the earliest. So I can’t really see how we benefit if there is no guarantee of extending beyond this season. All a bit weird really.

So I’m guessing we either have an extension option for next season, or we’re taking a gamble that he’s gonna view this approach favourably and choose to sign for us next season, but are not tying ourselves to longer than this summer in case he doesn’t get fit again?

OR we’re not expecting to fill all our squad allocation this January so may as well bag him on the basis of maybe getting half a dozen games out of him.

Think it’s high risk/high reward. Continuing rehab with us anyway, if he can come in and have a good few weeks at the back of the season it could open up a longer contract.

Suspect that’s how Milton Keynes fans felt after they rehabbed Rob Hall and then he signed for us, leading to the excellent chant their fans did where they demanded he give them their knee back.
