Joe_Citrone I really hope that doesn’t happen too. I’m guessing he is also on a big wage for (potentially) a back-up player. The worst aspect would be making my Jamaica training top redundant, of course.

A small observation - I’ve notice Gats seems far more confident and outgoing in recent club videos where he has appeared. I hope this indicates the loan move and scoring a few has really paid off for him. Whether he will be deemed good enough to stay with us is another matter I guess.

JonnyBiscuits Bit surprised we’re trying to extend McEachran’s contract.

Although, that said, with nine on the bench next season, we’re going to need depth. And McEachran is a solid, dependable squad option, who probably won’t be demanding regular football, and is clearly well-respected and liked amongst the squad.

As for the rest, Seddon was an easy one and, although it’s sad to see them go, probably the correct calls on Jamo, Browne and Bodin too.

Joe_Citrone Yeah, I think McEachran is very, very solid back-up option if he wants to stay. Suspect the idea is the same for McGuane given he’s not a starter for us these days.

I think with McGuane it’s to a) give a bench option and b) lock in some transfer value as there will be clubs interested in him.

The departures all make sense to me. They were all largely fringe/squad players in a good League One side, so unlikely that they would get a sniff in the Championship. To be absolutely blunt, I wouldn’t have given Jamo a contract in the summer of ’22 and, I suspect, neither would the club if that window hadn’t been such a car crash…

Shame to see Oisin go, but makes sense with the promotion. If we were still in League One, I imagine he’d be retained as a decent squad player.
