I’d expect Easty to start transitioning into a coaching role. Can’t remember who or where, but one of the players was saying that Lewis Price does a lot of coaching across the defensive unit and not just the GKs. It would make sense (as a CHAMPIONSHIP club) to have that extra body covering that position.

How are we feeling about the Phillips signing? A different profile/age but seems like a decent fella, keen to support and guide younger players, and happy to be playing closer to home. Pretty low risk I guess?

brinyhoof Good squad player with a lot of experience. He has played less than 30 games in each of the last three seasons, so I think it’s pretty clear that he’s not going to be a regular starter. Assuming that he doesn’t take up a big chunk of the budget (and I seriously doubt that he will), it’s a decent signing.

IMHO we still need a first-choice centre-back and two wide attacking players.

On that note, I understand that Malcolm Ebiowei will be signing today, and that there is a fair chance that we’re also bringing in Karamoko Dembele in the near future.
