If an offer comes in that’s acceptable to the club, I think CB would be a fool to not jump at a move. He’s got two-years of big money left on his current contract and given our recent travails (and his form), I can’t see how he’ll maintain his earnings at the age of 29 (when his deal ends).
As for the fee, anything north of £1m should be taken. His resale value isn’t what it was, due to his age, and we could spend the £10-12.5k a week on a couple of players.
If he goes he does so with a great reputation intact. If he stays, he needs to get his game back to the levels he’s capable of, for him and the team.
