LeftSider Yeah, reasonably encouraging. Sounds like it’s the stuff around signing the heads of terms and coming to an agreement on what the levels or protection should be in the lease to prevent another Kassam situation. All good stuff, and positive.
Very quiet on the road situation though, which is and always was going to be the real sticking point. Particularly now with Gant coming out against it (albeit in his capacity as a local councillor and not in his capacity as cabinet member for transport).
I kind of feel like the bridge designs are going to be key. If it’s some kind of large and wide causeway thing that will go over the road (though difficult to see how that’s going to work on any level tbh) then I can see it getting the go ahead on a transport front, but planning permission might be more complicated. If it’s just bog standard off-the-shelf footbridge though, I can’t see it being enough.
