Planning applications of this scale and profile never go according to the initially set out timescales. It’d be surprised if it’s done before next year to be honest.
The council has said it’s still in the early stages of reviewing the application details, which are - tbf - significant. They’ve also got a LOT of public comments to review, largely from supporters, which is really time consuming.
There are also still high profile holding objections from the county council and the police on the basis that the club hasn’t yet provided sufficient mitigation plans for the traffic issues on Oxford Road. We’re still awaiting the club’s plans for a bridge too, which would presumably contribute towards the mitigation of those problems.
