JonnyBiscuits Either way, all this episode has done is reaffirmed my belief that there are people at the club and adjacent to it who probably aren’t as well-informed as they think they are gossiping like a bunch of pensioners in the post office queue and presenting it as hard intel.
Oh, this is, was, and always will be the case.
Part of the problem here is the information vacuum being generated by the club’s lack of comms, as this simply allows space for various conspiracy theories to spawn and grow. For example, there’s still been nothing said about STs going off-sale despite both the changed and original deadlines now passing. Then there’s all the stuff about the EFL fine, TW being absent, etc.
Of course we shouldn’t be expecting a running commentary on everything which is going on at the club, but it really feels at the moment that the club’s engagement with fans is not far off an all-time low, at the precise moment when they should be generating as much interest and excitement as possible. The unity at the end of last season which saw us over the line seems to have been forgotten.
