Apparently, details on season tickets are to be released at some point next week. I totally understand (and agree with!) the wish to give the ticket office a break as they worked so hard during the play-off period, but I do feel there is a risk of the club missing out on some new ST sales to those who were buoyed up by the whole Wembley experience, and missing that May pay day seems a bit odd too. That said, I imagine the club would be quite happy to see fewer ST sales if it means more on-the-day, full-price tickets being shifted!

Tbh I’d rather they got the marketing right than rushed it out. I’m also hoping they’re putting some thought into some additional perks to soften the blow of the inevitable price rise.

JonnyBiscuits I think that blow is largely softened by the quality of opposition we will be facing next year! But, yes, it would be nice if they actually had some decent ST perks rather than the half-arsed approach they took this season.

Watched a YouTube video about all the grounds in the Champo next season. Really brought it home how little we are in comparison to the rest of the division. There are some big ol’ stadiums.

JonnyBiscuits Watching the game last night, they looked like a plucky bunch who put up a spirited performance which resulted in a narrow 6-1 defeat.

Or, to put it another way, they looked utterly dreadful. I was chatting to a friend before the game and we were both saying that we were unsure if Pompey are a bad side or have just had an incredibly tough run of fixtures to start the season. Last night, it appeared that the answer is ‘both’.

Which sets us up nicely for a 2-0 Pompey win on Saturday. Which of you reprobates are going?

Mark Robins sacked then. Longest serving manager in the football league. Apparently restabilising their club, being a whisker away from the Premier League one season, and a stupid VAR decision away from the FA Cup Final the next isn’t enough to warrant a bit of solidarity during a wobble.

I do find it amusing that Hull and Coventry who are both within 2 points of us are apparently doing SO BADLY that they either have their fans turning on their manager and calling for his head, or they’re actually sacking him.

Unsurprisingly, Mark Robins hasn’t been out of a job long, now taking the reins at New Watford, which means he’ll probably be unemployed again by the summer…

Rob Edwards is now very much on the ejector seat with reports that his departure from Luton will be announced imminently. That would be the 11th managerial change in the Championship this season:
