If he goes, it leaves me asking myself, “what’s the point?”.
The club have given him:
- the chance to rebuild his reputation
- permission to bring his own team and one person lost their job because of it
- their full backing in the transfer market
While he looks to be saying goodbye at the first approach from mid-level Championship club. I get the financial boost it would provide him (in the short-term, at least), but I thought there was more to him than that. I still hope there is.
I was so looking forward to the Leyton Orient game. Talk about a probable dampener.
