With another couple of signings yesterday, we are now in the position of struggling to get down to the 25-player squad limit (U21s don’t count, loans do regardless of age, and must have 3 GK). As it stands, I see it as:

I think we need at least a CB and CF to come in, so there will need to be a bit of jiggery-pokery with the squad to accommodate that. I can see Thorniley going out (perm or loan) as well as one of Currie and Leigh. There is interest in McGuane from other clubs and, as I understand it, OUFC have resigned themselves to not getting a fee as they simply want to free up his wage (c.£6k/wk). GO’D will almost certainly (have to) go out on loan. Ditto Goodwin, especially if we intend to bring in another established CF.
I’ve seen this window described as our best ever, and I’m struggling to disagree with that. We’ve come a long way from wondering which injured winger would be signed next…
