Building on @brinyhoof’s point in the Board Members thread…
I appreciate there are bigger issues to worry about, but this is my job and so it makes my skin crawl to see it done so badly. On a very fundamental and basic level, this is a dreadful piece of communication. It’s badly worded, impersonal, jargony and has the important messages all the wrong way around. Who is writing this stuff, and why isn’t there a quality-control sign-off process? I also think this points to the bigger issues the club has around communications in that there isn’t a senior communications manager overseeing all this, ensuring consistent quality and approach, and challenging bad practice.

Online update
We remind supporters that during the move from our current third-party CRM partner to Sports Alliance, supporters will notice some temporary disruption when accessing online services, such as ticketing and retail.
If you are looking to purchase tickets for tomorrow night’s home game against Wigan Athletic or the U’s away match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, you will not be able to purchase tickets online until further notice.
We would recommend calling the Ticket Office team on 01865 337533, who will be happy to assist.
I’ve reworded it for them.
Online ticket sales currently out of action
Online ticket and club shop sales are currently out of action as we upgrade our systems.
If you’re looking to buy tickets for tomorrow night’s home game against Wigan or our trip to Wycombe on Saturday, you’ll need to call the ticket office on 01865 337533 or pop up to the stadium and pay them a visit. The club shop is also open during its usual hours to buy in-person.
This is because we’re making changes to our systems to make it much easier for you to interact with the club online - we’re moving over to a company called Sports Alliance who are a well-respected and experienced organisation providing digital systems to clubs around the world like Leicester City, Rangers, QPR, Bristol City, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven and DC United.
