Need a big game from Ruben tonight. I feel like he’s not performed well in the scary matches so far.

I reckon they’ll watch what Lincoln did and mob Murphy with defenders to nullify him, but whether they have the discipline to maintain their shape elsewhere when they do that is a different matter.

Also think they’ll come out at us really quickly to try and bully us like Bolton did.

I don’t really know though I’m just typing to get through the nerves. How long till kick off?

I thought they’d do that in the first leg too, which is why I had a couple of quid on SkyBet’s boosted price for him to win 3+ fouls. That bet came in fairly quickly! They’ve raised it to 4+ fouls for the second leg.

I’m hoping that the over-confidence being shown by a sizeable chunk of their fans rubs off onto the P’boro players. They need to come out and attack and, with our pace on the flanks, that will enable us to counterattack rapidly. The longer the game goes on without a goal, the more P’boro are going to have to chase the game, opening themselves up at the back. I get the feeling it’s going to end up as a very ugly and nervy game!

Yeah I was very surprised at how cagey Pbo were in the first leg and one would think they can’t take the same approach again tomorrow. They’ve surely got to try and pick us off early this time. It’s very easy to write a narrative where that gives us an advantage, but I think it’s gonna be a really tough game and I think we’re definitely going to need at least one more goal.

What a day. Ears are still ringing from the noise. Was completely terrified throughout the whole match, but fucking hell what a result. And the rhetoric about not being able to cope against the better sides can now get in the bin - three games in a month against everyone’s poster team for ‘how to play football’ and we’ve humped them 7-1 on aggregate.
