Sometimes I think we also get confused by the blurred lines between marketing and fan liaison. I have been taking to Andy, our SLO on email this morning. He met with the Cambridge SLO who apparently has more time on his hands because he is retired.
There is an irony in a paid SLO having less time, but it is only part of his job so he does have to be more reactive than his cufc counterpart can afford to be. Tbf he took my feedback and I do think the club might need to look at allocation of time to this important role
Meanwhile we are in to (at least) week 2 of the dead end link on the ticketing site for new registrations. Exactly as @JonnyBiscuits says I would like to see more focus on the basics, and agree with @oxblogger that some good old fashioned person, place, positioning marketing might be more effective
